Our prenatal visits helped us establish a report and helped my partner and I prepare to achieve my goal of an unmedicated birth. She helped my partner and I make important decisions regarding our birth plan and potentially inducing labor by providing us with evidence-based research and walking us through the pros and cons of our options. During the birth, she was unfailingly attentive and encouraging, acting as my advocate and support person in myriad ways, from keeping me hydrated to helping me manage pain with various techniques. She never left my side during the intense stages of my labor and delivery. Anne played a pivotal role in helping me have a natural birth. Both before and after the birth, Anne consistently responded promptly to my calls, emails and texts, and after the birth, she was proactive about reaching out to me to check on me and offer support and affirmation. She went above and beyond in terms of making herself available and helping us via phone and in our home during our difficult first few postpartum weeks. Both in terms of birth and postpartum support, in sum, Anne made me feel prepared, secure, comfortable, and capable. She's a great choice of doula. "

“I hired Anne as a postpartum doula and I am so glad that I did. Initially I had Anne coming twice a week and then I transitioned to once a week once my baby got a little older. I enjoyed having Anne come over because it not only gave me a break so I could take a nap but Anne was also great at giving me tips and tricks for caring for my baby. When my baby had trouble breastfeeding she gave me some different positions to try one of which worked. Also my baby was a difficult napper and Anne would take her and always managed to get her to nap so I learned a lot from watching her. Anne also helped me around the house with restocking my changing station, diaper changes, packing diaper bag, prepping for activities outside the house, watching her so I could go grocery shopping. I always looked forward to having Anne coming over and I highly recommend her. ”

“Anne was really great! She stayed with us the entire time and her quiet confidence put my husband and I at ease. Anne was very responsive when we told her we were in labor and she followed our lead (which was great!). We initially had some ideas of how we wanted our labor to go but as it was our first time going through it, we soon found that reality looked very different than expectation. Although Anne was aware of our original birth plan from our time together beforehand, she rolled with the punches and really met us where we were at. Anne was very encouraging to my husband and helped him in supporting me through labor. A really special touch was that Anne took a few pictures (with our permission) of us meeting our son, which is one of my most prized possessions.
